Obituary of Daniel (Dan) Joseph McMahon

Daniel “Dan” McMahon, the beloved husband of Donna McMahon of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the age of 60.

 

Born in Montreal, QC, in 1963, Dan moved to Calgary in 1966, where he lived until his passing. He married Donna Cormack in 2000.

 

Proud of his family and his contributions to the construction industry in Calgary, Dan also had a deep passion for his dogs, Bowie and Bailey, as well as rock and roll, hockey, and baseball.

 

Known for his sense of humour and kindness, Dan often said, “Everyone is entitled to my opinion.”

 

Besides his loving wife, Daniel is survived by his two daughters, Michelle and Jordan, of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by his brother, Peter (Debbie), and his sister, Julie, of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Doreen McMahon.

 

A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
