Obituary of Carol Marie Stannard

April 12, 1950 – High River, Alberta

August 15, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Stannard, who left us on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the age of 74 years. Carol was a cherished mother, devoted wife, and beloved sister, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born and raised on a farm, Carol's early years were shaped by the simplicity and beauty of rural life. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passions for gardening, horseback riding, and exploration.

Carol shared her passions with her late husband Jack, who passed away in 2013. Together, they embraced these passions with joy and dedication for 40 years, ranching in the Priddis area and enriching their community.

Carol is survived by her son Joe, and her siblings: brothers, Bill, Gordon, and Jim, and her sisters, Pat, Jackie, and Dorthy.

Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will remain in the hearts of her loved ones, and her memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In accordance with Carol's wishes, no formal services will be held.
