We have know Lyle since early grades of school. He had such a mischievous nature and such a wicked laugh, you couldn’t help but laugh with him. The tricks and stunts John and Lyle played on people makes me shudder to think of now , so many years later. He had a heart the size of his beloved PEI and no one was a stranger to him. They were just friends he hadn’t met before. Words cannot describe the person Lyle was, they are so inadequate. Know, Mona, that we loved him here on PEI, young and old. It is with broken hearts we wish you God’s strength to get through this difficult time in your life. May God’s peace be with you. You now have an angel watching over you!!! When he was so very young , an angel is the last thing he used to be called.!!!!!!

I’m so sorry to hear about Lyle, I haven’t seen him in a long long time, but he was a super nice guy. I did not know he was sick, so when I read the obituary in the paper this morning, I felt heart sick. That’s how he impacted people, loved his smile, his laugh and his personality.

Sorry Lyle and I never got to go through with our plans. I will have to have that guinness by myself, and be thinking of him. Thought he was doing well and was very surprised to see the notice in the paper. Always enjoyed our “little” visits at the union office. He will be missed.
