Sincere Condolences to Sandy's family from the Stewart, Craig, Fraser and Blair East and families. We had forgotten about Sandy; building the lake cabin! The Irvine's and East's grew up in Fernie together and although Sandy was two years older than Stewart, Robert was the same age as Fraser, and more significantly the two families shared their love for skiing at Snow Valley and for enjoying Rosen Lake to this day, including Blair and John meeting for the first time this past July. .

I haven’t seen Sandy in a really long time. I knew the Rosen Lake Sandy when I was a kid. That is a very special place for me and my family. And “Mr. Irvine,” as we knew him then, is as much a part of the fixtures of my magical childhood summers out there as the tallest trees, swims to the raft, catching minnows, or the starry nights.

My deepest sympathies to all the Irvines, and those who grieve Sandy’s passing.
