Obituary of Evelyne Marie Dumais

September 6, 1939 – Sudbury, Ontario

August 18, 2024 – Airdrie, Alberta

Evelyne Dumais (nee Servant) of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the age of 84 years.

Evelyne was born in Toronto, ON, on September 6, 1939, and moved to Calgary, AB, in 1976. She married Ronald Dumais on July 26, 1958, and was honoured to celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary.

Evelyne accomplished much throughout her life, but her greatest joy, by far, was the family roots she built over the years with Ronald Dumais by her side. She took great pride in the missionary work, she was able to do over the years, as well as her dedication to teaching Spanish. Guided by her strong faith and beliefs, Evelyne contributed significantly to her faith and prayer groups, which brought her immense joy.

Evelyne’s most memorable vacation was when she travelled to Paris with Ronald Dumais, the stories and pictures which she lovingly shared with all who asked. She was well known for her generosity, infectious laughter, endearing smile, witty humour, spiritual serenity, and her beautiful blue eyes.

Besides her loving husband Ronald, Evelyne is survived by her six children, Linda (Dale), Robert (Judy), Denis (Colleen), Ronald (Lenora), Barry (Nathalie), and Darren (Jayanne). She leaves behind cherished relationships with twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
