Dear Patsy, and all family,
Jack and you were among the first people I met when moving here three decades ago. Through the animals, and through my mother, we shared much. Jack was so supportive in helping me with my mom. And of course the many times I interviewed him during the Calgary Stampede era, when he was president. May you always feel his presence, may you always smile with the memories of all your travels, and your time living up the hill, raising a family and keeping horses. Jack lived a good and full life. Many blessings.
Dearest Patsy and Family,
Words cannot express the sadness we feel at the passing of Jack. His charm, humour and dedication has always been inspirational. Our wonderful memories of him will stay with us always. Please know you have our support, forever! Wishing you comfort from the life long love you have shared. Your Alumni Sister, Cindy Sergerie and family

Dear Patsy and family, it was shock and regret that we heard of Jack’s passing. Both Carmen and I send you all our deepest condolences.
We were truly blessed that we found our Millarville property across the road from both of you. From the moment we moved into our home you and Jack made us feel part of the community. You always invited us to your gatherings of which we had so much fun. I will always cherish the special bond I developed with Jack. Our mutual hobbies of wood working and riding our quads at McLean Creek will forever be remembered by me as well as my time on the Millarville Rodeo Committee with him.
Jack was always generous with his time. There were many weekends where Jack helped me build my shop. He always was there with his great ideas. During those times when I was home convalescing from a surgery he was always there to help, plow the driveway or just check in to see how I was doing.
I will miss you pal. God bless you and your family.

Dear Patsy. Marjie and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Jack's passing. I truly value our decades long friendship through the Stampede, Rotary and the many friends we have in common. It was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to work him on both the Stampede Board and the Foundation Board. I am so glad we had a chance to visit at the Stampede Past President's dinner in June. We have lost a great guy! Our sympathies are with you and your family at this difficult time, Patsy. Unfortunately, Marjie and I are going to be out of the country on September 20th but we will be thinking of you with fond memories of Jack.
Dear Patsy, Dawn and I send our sincere condolences to you and your family on your loss of Jack. He will be remembered by the Stampede Family for his devotion to not only you but to the Stampede.
With love,
Bob and Dawn

Dear Patsy, my condolences to you and your family. I was very saddened to learn of Jack's untimely passing. Our initial introduction volunteering at Stampede evolved into a 35+ year friendship, one that i will dearly miss.
Dear Patsy -- It was very sad to hear of Jack's sudden passing. I will remember fondly the marvelous dinner parties at your home and the easy way Jack had in dealing with everyone. I will hold fond memories of a very special man and send you my sincerest good wishes.
Dear Patsy, Tyler, Sally and family…..I am so very saddened by the loss of Jack. I have memories of the four of us on our trips in Canada and in the US. Travelling by motorhome, car, airplane and even boating. We always had fun with good food, lots of laughter, games and great evenings telling stories. It did not matter where we camped, a campfire was where you d always find Jack and Rod. Travelling by car, they would always find the most amazing spots to stop along the way. Travelling by plane and once at our destination they would always find a good pub. Boating took us to BC and into the US. Jack’s pride and generosity in sharing his boats was appreciated by everyone. We had many fun times on the water in the US, in BC and yes here in Alberta. Jack always knew where to find water. He will be missed by many.
