Obituary of William Brian Christie

October 7, 1943 – Minnedosa, Manitoba

August 21, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

W. Brian Christie of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 80 years at Father Lacombe Care Centre, where he has resided for the last number of years.

Brian married his wife Heather in September of 1970. He is survived by their two children, Debbie Christie (friend Terry and his son John), and Dean Christie (Cathy) and their children, Jasmine, Miranda, and Dylan.

He is also survived by his sisters, Caroline Robson and Gladys (Larry) Lee; brother Bruce Christie (Rosanne), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Brian was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Mary Christie; wife Heather, brother-in-law Barry Robson, and nephew Kelly Robson.

We want to give a special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Father Lacombe Care Centre over the years that dad was there. Special thanks as well to Dr. Stirling for his kindness and care.

A private Memorial Service will be held for the family, followed by a public Open House Reception at the Southwood Community Association in the upstairs hall (11 Sackville Dr SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. All are welcome.
