Obituary of Violet Farkas

Ibolya “Violet” Farkas (nee Kikilaiki) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 85 years.

Violet was born in Esztergom, Hungary on April 4, 1939. She moved to Montreal, QC, in 1956, making her way to Calgary, AB, where she married Steve in 1963.

Violet was an avid reader and enjoyed tending to her garden. She absolutely loved her grandchildren, tenderly referring to Victoria as “Angel face.”

Violet is survived by her son Stephen, son-in-law Steve, grandson Jonathon, and granddaughter Victoria. Violet was predeceased by her loving husband Steve, and her daughter Violet Spirk.

A Celebration of Violet’s Life will be held at her home on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Light snacks and refreshments will be available.
