James (Jim) Eugene Sparrow, a cherished father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB on August 22, 2024.  His passing leaves those who loved him with a deep sense of loss.

Jim was predeceased by his father Bob and is survived by his mother Bobbie, his son Michael (Rachelle), daughter Carly (Quinlan) and his siblings Tom (Sally), Jane (Blaine), and John (Darlene). Jim is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jim was a proud father who delighted in his children's achievements and milestones, and his love for them was evident in every interaction. Jim’s legacy extends to his beloved children, who were a source of immense joy and pride for him. His influence and affection will be remembered and cherished by them for years to come.

Jim had a fulfilling career as a real estate agent and was known for his dedication and integrity. Outside of work, he enjoyed going to the family cabin, Formula One racing, and weekly pints with friends. He will be most remembered for his fierce intelligence, wit, and love of others.

Jim’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His kindness, love, and brilliance will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who knew him.

A celebration of life will occur at a later date for immediate family, as per Jim’s wishes.
