Obituary of Luca Pizzal

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luca Pizzal. Born on February 7, 1978, in Calgary, AB, he leaves behind his parents, Emilio and Carla; his brother Stefano, his sister Giulia, his nieces, Leila and Lulu; his nephew Leo, his brother-in-law Jonathan, his sister-in-law Lyla, his Zia Maria, his cousin Teresa, and many other family members in Italy.

Luca passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in New Fish Creek, AB, where his love and passion for hunting were held.

Luca was a member of many different hunting, bow hunting, and conservation associations in and around Alberta. He was an avid hunter, looking forward to August 25, opening day, and hunted all season until the middle of December when the season closed. When he wasn't hunting, Luca's other passion was his 4Runner, which he spent countless hours upgrading and competing in shows. Luca loved soccer, and rooted for Juventus and the Italian soccer team; he loved his Forza Azzurri. He also loved collecting comic books and action figures. Luca truly was a kid at heart. He may have had a tough exterior, but he had a heart of gold and would drop everything if you were in need.

He will be deeply missed and may he bag the biggest elk, up in the sky.

Luca was a very private and low-key person. As per his wishes, there will be no formal service, but a time to say goodbye. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a short Prayer and Blessing at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so following the Prayer and Blessing from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
