Obituary of Larry Joseph Faulkner

Larry (Joe) Faulkner of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the age of 77 years.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Florence (Ivy) Faulkner, and sister Beverley Williams. He is survived by his brother Thomas Faulkner, his nephews Greg Williams, and Shawn Faulkner, and nieces, Kara Envik, and Leanne Leung.

Larry graduated from Crescent Heights High School and went on to attend SAIT where he earned his Master Electrician Status. He worked for over 40 years until retiring in 2018. He was described as a diligent worker, great businessman, and tradesman.

He will be remembered by his family as a Renaissance man. His knowledge about the world and current events was always impressive and made for great conversation. Never seeking out extravagance, he was kind, caring, and helpful–a real salt-of-the-earth guy. He loved to crack a cold beer and share it with his family.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
