Obituary of Pak Yuk Fong 岑白玉

October 15, 1938 – Hong Kong

August 30, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Pak Yuk Fong 岑白玉 of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the age of 85 years.

Pak Yuk was married for 64 years to her beloved husband, Chun Fong 方正, who preceded her in death.

Pak Yuk was the heart of our home and family. She raised five children, Vinna, Bella, Angelo, Christa, and Paco, and was a beloved grandmother to Beth, Beverley, Lucas, and Magdalene; and great-grandmother to Olivia, Caitlyn, Courtney, and Chloe. She enjoyed being around the four little great-grandchildren, those were the happiest moments.

Pak Yuk is also survived by her three brothers and three sisters and their families in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Fong’s service streamed live (see link below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
