Obituary of Lynda Marie Robertson (nee McLachlan)

Lynda Robertson (nee McLachlan), beloved wife of Lee Robertson, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the age of 72 years.

Lynda was born in Calgary, AB, on January 25, 1952. She was raised by her parents with her three younger brothers, in the community of Ogden in the Southeast. She graduated from Western Canada High School and went on to start her long and dedicated career with Prudential Steel Ltd., retiring after nearly fifty years of service. She married the love of her life, Lee Henry Robertson (b. 1949), on June 13, 1981. They had one child, Rebecca Jane Robertson, whom they loved very much.

She first joined the Girl Guides as a child and remained a proud and passionate member of the Calgary and Area Girl Guides, where she dedicated decades to supporting girls and young women in the guiding sisterhood. Lynda loved camping and purchased a trailer at Tall Timber Leisure Park where she, Lee, Rebecca, and their dogs Teddy and Oscar, spent endless summers. They made many friends and were avid card players year-round. Lynda was proudly Scottish and had many cherished memories of visiting family around the United Kingdom. 

Lynda is survived by her dedicated husband Lee and their daughter Rebecca. She is also survived by her mother Beatrice Jane McLachlan (b.1931), her brothers, Brad McLachlan (Linda) and Kevin McLachlan; nieces, Lisa and Vanessa; and nephews, Bradley and Kyle. She was predeceased by her brother Kendall McLachlan (d. 2020) and her father John Mathie McLachlan (1930-2013).
