Pauline Joseph

Obituary of Pauline Ena Joseph

August 18, 1951 – Nevis, West Indies

September 4, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Pauline Joseph was born on August 18, 1951, in Nevis, West Indies. She lived a life of grace, resilience, and love, touching the hearts of all who knew her. In December 1976, Pauline courageously left her island home to immigrate to Canada, seeking new opportunities. On July 21, 1980, she settled in Calgary, AB, where she began her long and dedicated career with the Government, working tirelessly for over 30 years.

A proud graduate of Faith and Hope High School in Antigua, Pauline’s passion for service extended into her community, where she served as president of the Antigua and Barbuda Association in Calgary. One of her most cherished accomplishments was receiving the prestigious Queen’s Jubilee Award, in recognition of her dedication and service.

Pauline found great joy in baking, gardening, and keeping a beautifully organized home. She treasured her vacations back to Nevis, where she could reconnect with her roots and relive the beauty of her island upbringing. Her favorite song, "I Did It My Way," perfectly encapsulates the way she lived - on her terms, with pride and dignity.

Pauline will be remembered most for her kindness, her warm smile, and the love she gave to those around her. Her legacy lives on in her daughter, Leslyn, who was her pride and joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Delvin Joseph and Masmian, of Montreal, QC, Foster of Antigua, West Indies, Elaine of Montreal, QC, and Annette of Calgary, AB. Pauline was predeceased by her beloved parents, Sydney and Hilda Joseph; and siblings, Sydney and Jackie.

Pauline’s strength, love, and unwavering spirit will remain forever in our hearts. She lived her life fully, and her memory will be cherished by all who were blessed to know her.

May she rest in peace.
