Chad Holloway

Obituary of Chad Ryan Holloway

April 20, 1990 – Gander, Newfoundland

September 12, 2024 – Airdrie, Alberta

Chad Holloway of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the age of 34 years.

Chad was born in Gander, NL, on April 20, 1990. Then he and his family moved to Duncan on Vancouver Island, BC. In 1998, Chad and his family moved to Calgary, AB, and would spend the rest of their time here.

He graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School and took business at Mount Royal University. He went through school with many friends and even close cousins. He and his family (Brother and Father) ran a successful paving business in Calgary called Economy Paving, which he was very proud of.

Chad had a big loving extended family that were blessed by Chad’s presence. Chad was an undeniably special and beautiful soul.  He was charming, handsome, funny, kind, and most significantly, loving. Chad had the biggest heart. When he hugged you, or told you he loved you, you really knew he did.

He loved Jesus, music, movies, and his family. He had a three-year-old daughter, June, who was his most special person – his whole world.

Chad is survived by his daughter June Holloway, her mother Paulina Korbel, his parents Cathy Holloway and David Holloway. He is also survived by his brother Adam Holloway and his wife Jennelle Holloway, and his two nephews Leo, and Beau Holloway. As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

To say Chad will be greatly missed is an understatement. The world lost a beautiful soul, but God brought one back home forever.

Chad loved Psalm 23.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.

 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
