Condolences
My deepest condolences to David, Rena, Madison, family, extended family, and friends. Aunt Pat wasn't well known to me as she left NS when I was very young, and geographical distance was great. I only ever got to see her very few times in my life, but had the tremendous privilege of a brief, chance meeting her one day back in the Summer of 2019. Neither of us knew who the other was, but each of us thought there was something familiar about the other. It didn't take a lot of questioning to figure out that she was my father (Tom's), youngest sister. I'm so sorry, and truly wish I'd been able to get to know her better, however, the planets didn't align for that at the time. I was always struck by her beautiful vibrancy and the aura of sweetness and kindness about her. Warm hugs from the East Coast.
Pat, who was “mom” to me for over 20 years of my life, was one of a kind. Positive, kind, funny, a great cook who made Sunday dinner the best way to start the week. She loved shopping and was up for anything fun. So much laughter and light. She loved Arizona and was a great buddy to do things with.
Pat was a wonderful friend to anyone who needed one and the best grandmother to Maddy. Devoted to the people she loved, selfless and ever optimistic in her support. I will miss her all the rest of my days but remember all of the love and grace she gave to all of those around her. I was blessed to know her.
May I add two more meaningful photos to the Blair and Deborah condolences. Both are pictures of Aunt Pat and Uncle Jim, testimonies to their enduring love.
Annie Pat was a wonderful, loving and affectionate mother-in-law. David and Maddy were so blessed to have such a caring and cheerful mother and grandmother. Her final years were difficult to watch. She is at peace dancing away in heaven with her husband, Jim.
Dear David and Maddy and family,
What can you say about a lady who helped you from your 12th day of life, after a plane ride from Halifax to Calgary. Aunt Pat and Uncle Jim were the only family we had in Calgary and they were amazing support!
Everyone she start their day with an Aunt Pat giggle combined with her warm, twinkly eyes.
All our heart/felt condolences to both of you. Your mom and grandmother always cared for others and the greater good. Aunt Pat RIP.
Aunt Pat and Uncle Jim were the best of couples. They were gracious, personable and entertaining.
They greeted my Mom and Dad in 1959 when they got off the airplane from Halifax and never stopped
being supportive and kind.
David, Maddy and family, we express our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Aunt Pat

Blair and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to David and Maddy for the loss of their amazing mother and grandmother. Aunt Pat was one in a million and we share so many wonderful memories. She was so generous and kind to everyone she met.
Aunt Pat and Uncle Jim loved to entertain and on one visit took us to Banff National park where we watched David and Wendy skate. They took us to the Calgary Tower for dinner and afterwards we would stay up to the wee hours talking and reminiscing. She loved to get out the "lotions and potions" for our girl's night.
She even had Bobby Curtola sing Happy Birthday to me on my 21st Birthday!
When Aunt Pat moved to Halifax she travelled by bus to Saint John, New Brunswick for Skate Canada right after her hip replacement surgery. Nothing could hold her back! She introduced me to so many skating coaches and we got to watch the skaters practice back stage.
Aunt Pat was a very special, kind, generous person and will truly be missed. May she RIP.
