Condolences
Very sorry to hear about Ron's passing. I have many fond memories of backyard barbecues and dinners. But my favorite memories are of chasing desperately after Ron at Sunshine. The man was a ferocious skier. He attacked the hill like nobody else I have ever known. Trees? No problem. You just whistle on through. Me, I would maintain my courage by hollering, "Yee haw!" Madness on the mountain . . . but Ron's was a fine madness. I loved every moment we shared on the slopes.
Sincere condolences to the Westcott family. I met Ron while I was a young, aspiring Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse; assigned to the Aberford Resources audit. Ron was the Controller. He was one of the first to send me a congratulatory letter when I passed the UFE, a letter I still have. Despite my 'juniorness', Ron was always approachable and a man of integrity. Wonderful qualities. Cherish your memories.
My condolences to the Westcott family. I worked with Ron at PriceWaterhouse on the Westcott staff and then with him as a client for 10 years through AEC and ultimately Encana. Ron was always an excellent professional and a great person to work with.
Norma ... I wish to pass along my condolences to you and your family on Ron's passing. I worked with Ron for many years on various projects and through that association had the pleasure of getting to know him personally and professionally. A wonderful person ... easy to like and easy to work with ... even when in his convincing mode. A man of character who was always true to himself and his profession. Many fond memories! God Bless.

Lori and I would like to give our condolences on Ron"s passing. Ron and I were team members for the Alberta Energy Company senior management team. Ron and his team were major contributors to the success of the Alberta Energy Company. Ron's greatest asset was his ability to find creative solutions to many difficult and complex accounting/finance challenges during his tenure. Ron also had the ability to simply explain complex issues in a way the other team members could appreciate and understand. Ron possessed a wonderful personality and was a joy to work with. A very pleasant and successful man.

Ron and I were childhood next door neighbors in Park Extension, Montreal, for a dozen years circa 1950-1962, and stayed in periodic contact over the next 60 years, sometimes in person but mostly by phone or e-mail. Deepest sympathies to his wife Norma, son Brian and other family members.
