Sylvia Molicki

Obituary of Sylvia Magdalene Molicki

April 26, 1949 - Duesseldorf, Germany

October 2, 2024 - Calgary, Alberta

Sylvia Magdalene Molicki passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 75 years.

She was a loving wife and best friend for 54 years to Werner, a most devoted and proud mother to Dustin, Stefanie, Tania, and son-in-law Mark, and the most caring Oma to her grandchildren, Lucas and Magdalena “Maggie”.

Sylvia and Werner met at the airline they worked for in Duesseldorf and left their home and families in 1973 to immigrate to Canada. Their love for the outdoors made Calgary the perfect place to settle and establish a family life of their own. A shared love for travel led to many trips around the globe and adventures with their camping van.

In addition to being an incredible cook, Sylvia was a talented artist and an avid gardener.

Sylvia touched many lives and will be remembered for her unconditional love, generosity, warmth, and smiles.

The family will celebrate her life at the family home in the spring. Details will be announced at a later date.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue West, 16th Floor, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1K8, www.alzheimer.ca.

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Sylvia’s family here.
