Obituary of Holly Justine Wilcox

December 24, 1952 - Calgary, Alberta

October 1, 2024 - Calgary, Alberta

Holly Wilcox, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 71 years.

Holly built a lifetime’s worth of friendships in Banff before following her grandchildren to the Shuswap; she could be found on the golf course or on the lake for the next ten years.

Holly and Syd once again followed their grandchildren back to Calgary. If you ever had a conversation with Holly, you would know how important her grandchildren were to her.

She was an inspiration to all; her wisdom, strength, and courage have and will continue to ripple throughout her family.

Holly is survived by her husband Syd, son Andrew, daughter Carole (Sam), granddaughters, Hailey and Emilie; grandsons, Brayden and Lucas; brother Brent (Janet), nephews, Eric and Alex; brother Earl (Monique), and nephew Kody.

A Celebration of Holly's Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with a reception at the family's residence to follow.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the ALS Society of Alberta, 7874 10 Street NE, Calgary, AB T2E 8W1, Telephone: 403-228-3857, www.alsab.ca/donate.

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Holly’s family here.

In living memory of Holly Wilcox, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB T3G 2T3, Telephone: 403-241-0044.
