Obituary of June Merriman

June Merriman (nee Powell), beloved wife of 61 years of the late Jack Merriman passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024.

June gifted her family with her sense of humour, quite often present in the funny song lyrics she wrote and sang.

June and Jack were sports enthusiasts. They enjoyed bowling, skiing, tennis, and water sports with each other and their family. Many beautiful occasions and activities occurred in their years at Sylvan Lake.

June and Jack worked together for over 50 years in their business, Merriman Electric.

June is survived by her brother Barry Powell and sister Joyce Patton; her children, Kent, Kerry (Ella), and Jodi (John); she was predeceased by her son Kevin. June is also survived by her grandchildren, Shane, Clarke, Jade (Ken), Kent Jr., Jacqueline, Drew (Julia), Bret (Nikole), and Talia; she was predeceased by her grandchildren, Cody and Geoff and daughter-in-law Donna. She was also proud of her loving great-grandchildren.

Her family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers Stacey, Judy and Betty for providing much-appreciated support.

The family will be remembering June with a private gathering, in lieu of a funeral service.
