Condolences
First of all, Bob Grieve and myself extend heartfelt condolences to Kelly, Jean, and extended family. We remember Cyril almost as a father to us, and our affectionate nickname for him was "Pappy". He was always quick to assist us when our vehicles went down, spending many hours of many weekends tinkering, advising, and researching solutions, before we all headed out for Tom Hortons. Over coffee Cyril would continue to discuss and analyze the situation, never satisfied with unsolved mysteries. He had a dry sense of humor, and would often tease me about having to go back to the "Salt mines" after a vacation. And as noted, he loved animals. A cat named "Kodak" from a nearby house made himself at home with Cyril, dropping by for treats and lovin'. He often spent Christmases at our house, pampering my cats and asking them if they were being abused lol. He would then sneak food to them under the table. His passing leaves a hole that will never be filled, but we are glad he is finally at rest. Though Cyril was never a believer himself, if there's such a thing as God he is among his angels. Thank you Cyril for your friendship over the years.
