Ana Maria Viniegra of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the age of 80 years.

Ana Maria was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, on December 2, 1943. She accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of the birth of her son.

She enjoyed painting, dancing, and doing volunteer work. She will be most remembered for speaking her mind when needed, for being the kindest and strongest genuine person to everyone who has known her, and for being like a mother to many people.

Ana Maria is survived by her son Francis Edward Viniegra, her sisters, Silvia Catalina Viniegra Vallejo of Jalisco, Mexico, Virginia Viniegra Vallejo of Jalisco, Mexico, Martha Lilia Viniegra Vallejo of San Diego, California, and Gabriela Patricia Viniegra Vallejo of Jalisco, Mexico; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Rodolpho Viniegra Contreras and María de Jesus Vellejo Iñiguez; her brothers, Rodolfo Viniegra Vallejo, Marco Antonio Viniegra Vallejo, Nicolas Viniegra Vallejo, and Alfredo Viniegra Vallejo; and her sister Maria de Jesus Viniegra Vallejo.
