Obituary of Carson Glen Otter

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin & friend. 

 

He leaves behind his dear mother Sophia Otter, his Daughter Sara Basque, his Loving Partner, Melanie Bergeron, Brothers Guffy (Samantha), Garth, Andy Bull Bear, Shawn Calf Robe, Gu-ya Manossa, Quinton Broad Scalplock, Jason Calf Robe, Timothy Calf Robe, Wendell Pipestem, and Wendell Calf Robe; Grandmothers, Keitha Many Horses, Carol Gottfriedson, Audrey Pipestem, Venora Big Plume and Bev Runner; Great Aunties, Ruth Scalplock and Sharon Calf Robe; Uncles Bruce (Deanna) Starlight, Delbert Broad Scalplock and Eddy Calf Robe; Aunties, Regena Crowchild & family, Roberta Calf Robe & family, and Colleen (Martin) Waskewitch; Nephews Jayden (Abby), Keeran, Shaymon and Paris; Nieces, Stephanie (Trevor), Shyloh (DJ), Star (Kika), Samone (Paxton), and Sky (Jon); all his Cousins from the Calf Robe, Calf, and Broad Scalplock families in Siksika; and his Brothers & Sisters, Langdon Crowchild, Poncho Stimson, James Onespot, Carrie Littlelight, Mandi Dodginghorse, Shilo Crowchild, Coreen Rider, Monica Onespot, Victor Jr. Onespot, and Shannon Onespot.

 

Carson is predeceased by his Grandparents, Roy Otter, Ed & Marie Calf Robe, and Barbara Otter; Brothers, Jr Otter, Barry & Kaylen Otter, and Mike Onespot; Sisters Gloria Otter and Ella Stimson; Aunties, Janice Grey Eyes, and Iris Otter; Great Grandparents, Oscar & Daisy Otter and Stanley & Louise Big Plume; Great Aunties and Uncles, Alfred Otter, Violet Crowchild, and Rosie Runner; Nieces, Kristen Deschamps and Eileen Otter.

Carson was born May 17, 1976, in Calgary, AB. He grew up on the Tsuut’ina & Siksika Nations He attended St. Benedict’s & St. Steven’s schools and completed his GED in Alberta. 

 

Carson liked playing hockey and baseball when he was younger, and he enjoyed cheering for his favourite teams, the Calgary Flames and Green Bay Packers. He was self-taught in carpentry, wood carving and burning, and computers, and he loved his furry friends, especially “Bear”. Carson worked various jobs over the years, and had fond memories of working the racehorses with his grandpa Ed. 

 

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 26, 2024, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
