Leslie was always one of my favourite cousins growing up. Being the youngest cousin, I was a little shy of all of my older, and of course I thought worldly cousins. 7 Zubick's were intimidating to me at times haha. Many of the Zubick clan babysat us over the years, my sister and myself, and came on vacations with our family. Etc. Leslie was always so kind and gentle. She let us make her terrible drink potions and she drank them haha. Played with us, did our hair, fussed over us. And she just seemed happy to spend time with us. Made us feel special.
We could be little shits, my sister and I, at times. All of the Zubick cousins were amazing, but Leslie just had a soft and humble way about her. I remember always being especially happy to see her, at many of our large family gatherings!!!
I am truly saddened by her passing and feel sad that it has been many years since I have seen her in person. We messaged and texted from time to time but I wish we would have connected in person. Rest easy Leslie! XO
