Elvira was one of my favorite colleagues while teaching at Crescent Heights High School. Her joy of life and sense of humor were welcomed attributes in our science department. You couldn't ask for a better colleague. I am happy to hear she had a full and rewarding life. She deserved it. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.

I was a young girl growing up in Sydney. I was a bridesmaid at her wedding in Melbourne to Arvydas. I saw them

when they moved to Canada. I watched Veronika grow up. So many memories. Elvyra will live in our hearts

forever. She was such a loving mentor to me. A very positive person. We will miss her greatly.

We've just learned the sad news of Elvyra's death. Our deepest condolences to Veronika. Elvyra has been part of my

life since I was a child. growing up in Sydney. I was one of her bridesmaids at her wedding to Arvydas in Melbourne.

If I wouldn't have come to Melbourne for Elvyra's wedding - I would not have met my husband.

Veronika take heart and stay strong. Elvyra will live in our hearts forever. She always saw the positive in everything

and everyone. She will be greatly missed.

Eternal Rest grant to her, O Lord

Our thoughts are with you Veronika. We first met your Mom when we attended the Lithuanian school being offered on Saturdays, Your Mom was our teacher and she was so patient and kind to us, and also had a wonderful sense of humor. We have kept in touch over the years through emails, visits and phone calls and had many great conversations. She always enjoyed the bird pictures Michael would send her and would thank him for them and also the scenery ones. She took part in and enjoyed many things in life and shared her wisdom with others. We know Harvey will be for her waiting for her with loving arms and Roman will be smiling to see her. Thank you Elvyra for the many memories, Love and miss you, Marilyn, Michael and Tammy Shukys

Elvyra was the most generous and wonderful chemistry colleague I had over my teaching career. She was super bright, super great at her job, and, most importantly, a super caring person. I will always remember her kindness and encouragement in the times we shared at Henry Wise Wood High School. Elvyra was a marvel.

Our sincere condolences to you, Veronika. Elvyra was a wonderful mentor and friend. She contributed so much to the life and spirit of the Calgary Lithuanian community that it is difficult to imagine going on without her. Her wisdom and infectious sense of humour will be missed by everyone who was privileged to know her.
