Condolences
My Opa was one of the best men I ever knew, he was loving, kind, and always had others best interests at heart, when I was younger my brother and I spent a couple days at Opa and Oma’s house, and every morning Opa would make us this amazing breakfast, and would always find ways to spoil us the best way he could, he would sneakily give us candy if we behaved and never raised his voice to us even though we were such a hassle at times, see the thing is I can’t give an exact example of a memory I had with him because every memory I had with him was special, and I’ll never forget, thank you Opa Gil for all the memories we were able to share together, I’ll cherish them forever. I love you and I’ll miss you.
Our sincere condolences to all in the family who may be affected by the loss of such an important member of your family.
With sympathy,
Bernadette Geronazzo
Very hard to hear of Gil’s passing…I didn’t know him a long time but we both shared a love for Blue Jays baseball, and I remember watching many games together, especially if the Jays made the playoffs!…im thankful to have known Gil, he was a real gem.
I am so so saddened to lose you as my stepdad.
You were a kind and giving man especially the way you always cared looked after mama.
Your continuous strength and dedication to maintain the house and yard kept you going right to the end.
Your eager assistance to help neighbors in need by trying to push them out of a snow bank even though you weren’t 20 anymore!
I will cherished all the memories we had.
May you now rest in peace.
Gil was an extraordinary cook, and I’ll never forget the amazing holiday dinners you made in the early days. You were equally skilled with a BBQ, serving up steaks that were nothing short of perfection. I’m so grateful for the cooking tips you shared with me over the years—advice I’ll always carry with me.
Your home and garden were reflections of your care and pride, and you loved spending time tending to the garden. You were a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. Now that you’ve crossed to the other side, I hope you’ve been reunited with your mother and father.
You will be deeply missed.
Your extra daughter Sabine and Family
