Obituary of Terry McArthur

Terry McArthur, beloved husband of Dodie McArthur, of Calgary, AB, passed away after a sudden illness on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the age of 81 years. 

Terry is survived by his wife Doreen (Dodie), his two children, son Shayne McArthur, daughter Lori (Jeff) Gibbons, and three grandchildren, Sam, Jake, and Erika. He is also survived by his two sisters, Linda (Jack) Stewart and Sharon (Harry) Budner.

Born in England, Terry was two years old when he came to Canada through the War Bride Program bringing families together after World War II. He attended Western Canada High School and graduated from SAIT as a master electrician. He established McArthur Electric and worked as a commercial and residential electrician, as well as support services for SAIT for more than 25 years.

Terry was an avid skier and enjoyed travelling with friends and family. He loved working with tools and was always ready to help whenever needed.

A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
