Condolences
I am so sad for the loss of David. He was an amazing man and extremely supportive ,helpful and cheerful.
He helped me a lot since the moment i joined the projects team and has been always caring to make sure
everything is going fine with me.
We will miss him a lot and God bless all the family and be with them in this hard moment
David was my first manager and the reason I decided to join the team. He was a man with a warm heart, a great sense of humor that drew everyone to him. David showed respect, kindness, and every quality you’d hope to find in both a mentor and a friend. When I made the decision to move to another country to advance my career, David & Romy held a farewell BBQ at his custom-built shack, wishing me well for the journey ahead. I’ll always cherish that day—and I’ll never forget his signature pulled pork.
David, you will be deeply missed.
I had the pleasure of working closely with David for the last couple of years. David was a great mentor, with a wealth of knowledge in the industry. Not only was he a wonderful colleague but more importantly a wonderful person.
I will always remember his friendly smiley face, his patience, his laughter and his stories. David would always ask how you are doing and how the family are and had a genuine interest in everybody. David and Romy recently came to visit me in Canmore whilst on maternity leave to meet the babies and you could see how much both he and Romy cherished family.
David will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. I am so sorry to Romy and the family for your loss.
Rest in peace David, I hope you have some great BBQ and hot sauce up there!
I had the pleasure of working with David and yourself Romy for many years at Bantrel. When I look back over the course of my career it is clear that David was world class as both a person and in his expertise in the T&L industry. He was always helpful, thoughtful, respectful and a great mentor to many.
Most recently I had the opportunity to work again with David on the Jansen project which I took great pleasure in reconnecting.
Romy and family please accept my sincere condolences on his passing.
May David rest in peace.

It was a pleasure to work with David on a project, and I can truly say he was a mentor, a leader in the industry, and a complete gentleman. He was one of the kindest people I’ve known, and working with him was always a joy. I last met David in Houston, and I will always cherish the memories from our time together. He will be deeply missed, and my thoughts are with his family.
I'm truly sorry to hear of Dave's passing.
I spent many years working with him at Bantrel, and he was always a great guy. I counted myself lucky to have a colleague like him. His sense of humour I will never forget.
My sincerest condolences to Romy and family.

My deepest condolences to the Waugh Family. Sending healing prayers and comfort during this tough time. It is an immense loss for all of us at KN...
Dear Romy and Family,
My deepest condolences to you all. Dave's passing has left a significant hole in the lives of everyone he touched, and I consider myself fortunate to have met both of you and to have worked alongside him. I will always remember the win/win situation in your yard—getting to ride the John Deere while you had the lawn mowed, topped off with great food, laughter, and a bonfire. And, of course, there was Dave’s Hot Sauce, another one of his pride and joys!
Many other moments come to mind, especially those times we tried to make sense of the world during our conversations in the office. It’s hard to believe that just a couple of weeks ago in Houston, everything seemed fine. When I asked about you, Dave lit up as usual, always eager to talk about you and how you were doing.
His sudden departure is an immense loss, not only for your family but also for the industry. Dave was a wellspring of knowledge and was always willing to share that knowledge, helping others become better versions of themselves. He will be deeply missed, and it’s still difficult to comprehend.
Sincerely,
Christian
I first met David back in the early 80’s when we ramp rats, both of us were young men with no clear direction on which way to go with our lives. Little did we know that this was the start of a career in the supply chain and transportation business for both of us. Over the next 40 years we ended up working together at 4 different companies and doing a lot fun and interesting work at the airlines and EPC’s. David was always an excellent colleague he took the time to listen he really did care about the person first.
Our relationship grew past the confines of the office walls as we shared family time with our kids growing up together . Family was very important to David and he had a beautiful family of his own, once Romy came into his life he inherited an extended family that he was very proud of. David was one of the good guys and I owe him a great deal of gratitude. We will all miss him I look forward to having a milkshake break with him one day. Rest well buddy.
I had the privilege of working with David for a number of years. Honestly, he was one of the best guys ever to work with. A man of high standards, ethics and abilities. My condolences to all his family.

In working with Dave early in my career, he was very kind in taking the time to explain the ins and outs of the business.
He always had a pleasant demeanor and was very well respected in the Traffic and Logistics space within the EPC world and beyond. He will be missed.

Our sincere condolences to family and friends of Dave.
Had the pleasure of meeting Dave personally while he was at Bantrel.
TO BE WITH CHRIST WHICH IS FAR BETTER.
My deepest condolences to the Waugh family.
Romy, I'm so deeply sorry and send strength to you as you navigate this incredible loss.
David was one of the greats. He always made time to visit, take a call, or reply to an email no matter how busy he was or how many of us sales folks were banging on his door.
From the freezing cold Calgary office visits to the conference calls from the heat and comfort of AZ - he made the time to catch up and not only to talk shop as colleagues, but to be a friend.
I am thankful to have seen him just a couple of weeks ago in Houston - and to have known him for the last 15+ years meant I was a greeted with a big bear hug and smile. David, you will be greatly missed. Godspeed.

I reflect on the privilege I had to work with David and his wife, Romy, for nearly two decades, both on and off. Our most recent collaboration was the Jansen Potash Project, and before that, we worked together at the NWR refinery. David was an excellent logistics manager representing the client. His passion and expertise in logistics were truly exceptional, and his absence is noticeable.
David was more than a colleague; he was a mentor who shared invaluable lessons over the years. His passing leaves a gap in my life and many others who knew him. The world has lost a wonderful person, and during this difficult time, my thoughts are with you as we mourn this loss.
I worked with Dave on Keeyask project in Northen Manitoba and saw him a few years ago in Mississauga. Can't believe he passed so suddenly. My deepest condolences to his family. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with David at Bantrel for many years, and I am deeply saddened by the news of his passing. Like many others, I remember him as a good friend, coworker, and great storyteller. He always had a smile on his face and was quick to share a laugh. My deepest condolences go out to his family.

I had the pleasure to work with David for short 3 years. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him as he was always in good spirits, always ready to assist or just listen, always taking care of people and always with a smile on his face. Sometimes we just talked about motorcycles or tequila and it was great fun to listen to his adventures for example riding through Nevada during record blistering heat. I vividly remember seeing him telling me the stories with a peeling nose and looking like a racoon, burnt around the goggles he was wearing. It makes me very sad to have lost him physically but he will always stay in my memory. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Jens Hansen
