Obituary of William James LAUGHLIN

April 27, 1933 – Maple Creek, Saskatchewan July 16, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta William James Laughlin of Calgary, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the age of 81 years. “Bill”, loving husband of Joan (nee Jeffries), passed away after his struggle with cancer. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, John “Kelly” and his wife Heather Matthews of Calgary, and Joseph William of Vancouver, BC; grandchildren Emelia and Wyatt of the Calgary area and brother Harold of Lethbridge, AB. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Bill was a life long musician who played the piano. He loved music and entertaining as well as selling pianos to several generations of Albertans. He also loved horses and “Pa” possessed a kind and gentle spirit alongside his quick wit! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. As per Bill’s request no funeral service will be held. A gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
