November 6, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with deep sadness and heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Fauline May “Buffalo Sun Child” Big Crow, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 13 years.
Fauline May Big Crow was a beautiful soul whose warmth shone through her frequent smiles. She had soft, kind eyes, and with these beautiful eyes, she saw the beauty in people and the world around her. When you were with her, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace and love. She was caring, playful, and respectful.
Fauline loved her mom and dad dearly but was definitely a daddy's girl. From the moment she first saw her little brother, she adored him and fiercely protected him. They were not only siblings but also best friends. Although she liked to tease him from time to time (as siblings do), she loved him unconditionally. Her maternal instinct shone through as she often watched over her younger cousins, making sure they felt included in every activity.
She was creative and talented, especially in arts, baking, and cooking. She loved slime, animals, powwows, camping, swimming, and TikTok. However, her greatest loves were makeup and babies.
Her favourite band was Tokio Hotel, which included her favourite electric guitarist, Tom Kaulitz. She also had a deep fascination with motorcycles.
Fauline had a profound impact on everyone she met. She will always live on in our hearts. We will never forget what a gift she was to this world. Fauline will be loved forever and always!
She leaves behind her mother LindaMae, father Dominic and baby brother Blaze, her grandmothers Sherma, Terry, Lisa, and Wendy; papa Darryl, great-grandmother’s Elizabeth, Denise, Kookum Linda, and Anne; and great-grandfather’s Alvin and Randy; aunties Willow, Darla, Joshlynn (Tyler), Joyce, Kirsty (Warren), Chelsea (Dwayne Sr.), Leah (Jackson) and Talia; uncle’s Kayden, Brendal, CoryJohn, Marcell, Curtis Jr, Brandon (Sam), and Sage; great-aunts Lynnette (Sheldon), Roberta, Paulette, Missy (Wayne), Jennifer and Leanne; her great-uncles Mitch (Crystal), Lance (Crystal), Todd, Charlo, Josh (Jesus); her great-great-aunt Pinkee, and best cousins Cree, Pierce, Dominica, Thomas, Ivy, Tiger, Jude, Alexandra, Sam, Ayasha, and Bear.
