Eileen Thomson

Obituary of Eileen May Thomson

January 6, 1934 – Regina, Saskatchewan

November 10, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

On the afternoon of November 10, 2024, Heaven called another angel home.

Eileen May Thomson (McGeough) was born on January 6, 1934. She is survived by her loving husband, Keith Thomson, of 68 years. Keith owes her everything for putting him through four years of Art School in Calgary, AB.

Eileen was a very talented seamstress and sewed until her eyesight diminished. She took up stained glass while living the winters in Mesa, Arizona, USA, and gave it up when the floods of 2013 took her studio. We all have some very treasured pieces of her work. Eileen loved to cook for her family and friends. She took great care and pleasure (sometimes taking days) in setting the perfect dining table to host her dinners.

The family was the true joy of her life!

She is survived by her three daughters.

Kelly (Sheldon Kroker); granddaughter, Jennifer (Tim Woitas); great-grandchildren, Hanah, Hunter; granddaughter, Samantha (Tom Jamieson); great-grandchildren, Stevie May; granddaughter, Katie (Cody Worthington); grandson, Sean (Allyson) Metcalfe; great-grandchildren, Mila, Lexi; step-grandson, Bryan (Lauren) Kroker, great-grandchildren, Evalyn, Mackenzie, and step-granddaughter, Melissa Kroker.

Shelley Thomson; granddaughter, Michelle (Kiel Ardal); great-grandchildren, Roan, Kalen, Jasper; granddaughter, Amy (Sean Bower); great-grandchild, Bodhi; granddaughter, Holly Wallwork, great-grandchildren, Indiana, Lucius, Ara; granddaughter, Bridget Maher; grandson, Austin Maher (Jess Hollies).

Doreen Thomson; granddaughter, Kelsi (Pierce Bonnett); great-grandchildren, Addison, and Cecilia; grandson, Kyle Pollard; granddaughter, Haleigh (Erick Wendelboe); great-grandchild, Sienna.

Eileen leaves behind many family members and friends. She was such a kind and gracious lady until the end. She was always more worried for others than herself, right until she left us. Mom passed peacefully, surrounded by family.

Mom asked me, “Please say goodbye to everyone.”

“GOOD FAMILY”
