Obituary of Anne Margaret Harnack

December 6, 1933 – Tilley, Alberta

November 17, 2024 – Strathmore, Alberta

 

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Anne Margaret Harnack, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all those whose lives she touched.

 

Anne was born on December 6, 1933, in Tilley, AB, and passed away in Strathmore, AB, on Sunday, November 17, 2024.

 

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Dunay, her sister Helen Hollenzer, her brother John Dunay, and four brothers-in-law. Anne leaves behind her beloved husband of 67 years, Cecil Harnack, her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Greg Hallett, her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Lori Harnack, and her cherished grandchildren, Zachary and Spencer Harnack. Anne is also survived by many other family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

 

Those who had the privilege of knowing Anne will remember her for her extraordinary strength and the quiet way in which she touched so many lives. Her unwavering faith was a constant source of comfort and inspiration, and her compassionate spirit will continue to guide all who loved her.

 

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” – Revelation 21:4

 

The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Sandra Desgagnes for her care and compassion during Anne's time at AgeCare Sagewood. We would also like to thank the numerous other staff members for their support over the years.

 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (2 Ave, Beiseker, AB) on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Following the interment service, friends and family are invited to gather at the Beiseker Community Centre (410 5 St, Beiseker, AB) to celebrate Anne's life and share memories.

 

Anne will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and faith will live on in all who knew her.
