Condolences
Dear Chris and family, we're so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.
It has been a pleasure to know your family since our girls were in daycare together and later working with you two on your home projects. Jim was a wonderful man and it was an honor to have known him.
Dear Chris, Kathryn, and Joe: So many memorable moments shared through CMG, especially with the children at our Christmas get-togethers. I am having surgery next week and will be unable to attend the service, though I hope to do so by livestream. You have my deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers. Take care. I care. Sarah Meyer
Dear Chris & Family,
Our deepest sympathy over the passing of Jim. What a kind-hearted man, always of good humor, intellectually engaging, and a loving husband and father. Fond memories of the visits to Cincinnati during the holidays. May he rest in peace.

Chris, Kathryn and Joe,
We wanted to offer our sincerest condolences to your family. We remember with joy listening to the singing when Chris had James join her to sing in a quartet at St. John's, and I know of Chris' devoted caregiving throughout his Parkinson's. Richard's father and Gwyneth's mother both died of Parkinson's, and we know the depth of the burden that caregiving requires. Our prayers are with you both as you face the grief of your loss and the changes that this will bring. Take comfort in the fact that he is now free of the ever increasing disability and challenges of the disease, and we pray for the comfort of his soul. Hear of Israel, the Lord your God is one. May he be one with God.

Michael and I have many years of memories with the Grabenstetter family, along with our kids Meredith and Alastair. I met Chris at a ladies' Monday night music group about 35 years ago, and before I knew it, we were invited over to their home. We all shared the love of music and singing, so the four of us began singing shape note songs every other Saturday night at Chris & Jim's house. We brought our kids along and they played with Kathryn and Joe while we sang, finishing off the evening with snacks and dessert. Because they had no family in Alberta, and neither did we, we had many wonderful Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter dinners with them over the years. Regrettably we did not see them much during the pandemic, and with Jim's disease, the four part singing had become very difficult. But we have many wonderful memories of so many years.
