Guyasoto Aaron Jacobs, beloved husband of Lois Jacobs, of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the age of 57 years.
Guyasoto (Cayuga, meaning-Chief of Chiefs) “Jaydo” Jacobs, born May 14, 1967, passed away at age 57. Jaydo was the youngest of sixteen siblings of a blended family. Jaydo had a big heart. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His early childhood pets were a moose, a deer, a pig, a rooster, a horse, dogs and various wild animals. He was a Chevy Man, he acquired his dream car, a 1968 Pontiac Firebird in 2015 which he was very proud of. He was a jack of all trades. He worked with Wolf Flats UXO, he also worked as a roofer alongside his sons, Angus and Dakota.
Guyasoto is survived by his loving wife Lois, and four boys, Barrett (stepson), Angus (Adrienne), Dakota, Tristan, and seven grandchildren. His brothers, Carlton (Lena), Leonard (Pauline), Hardy (Dorothy) and his sisters, Cheryl (Herb), Brenda (Chris), and Ethel (Willard). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Guyasoto was predeceased by his parents, David and Margaret Jacobs; his brothers, Lawrence, Jackson, Roger, Billy, Bryan, Nelson, Harrison Jacobs; his sisters, Judy Doore and Arlene Jacobs; his stepson, TJ Rattlesnake; and sisters-in-law, Connie Jacobs and Grace Firingstoney. He is also predeceased by his nephews, Tyundanaikah Jacobs, Jodi & David Firingstoney, Tyren Jacobs and, Curtis & Clayton Big Plume; his nieces, Monroe Jacobs, Carla Firingstoney, Mary-Jane Jacobs, Sherry Big Plume, Tammy & Sonia Stimson and relatives from Siksika Nation. Sorry for any family members we missed.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Carmelita Jacobs, 2633 Highway 22 (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB) on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bullhead Community Hall, (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB) on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Tsuut’ina Cemetery (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB). Following the graveside, family and friends are invited back to the Bullhead Community Hall for a feast.
