Trevor Welch of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the age of 76 years.

Trevor was born in Calgary, AB, on October 4, 1948. During his childhood, he moved throughout Canada, eventually settling back in Calgary and residing in Elbow Park. After graduating from Western Canada High School, he attended the University of Alberta before relocating back to Calgary and graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Commerce.

Trevor married Sandra Forbes on March 31, 1973, and they welcomed two children in the years to follow.

The majority of Trevor’s career was spent in the mining industry, where, in 1978, he began working alongside his parents, Jim and Rita Welch at Welco Expediting Ltd., until he retired as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. It was during this time he made countless friends and was able to travel with his wife, Sandra, throughout North America, Europe, and the Caribbean.

Trevor was an avid armchair sports fan and would often engage in spirited conversations sharing his thoughts on coaches and players alike. He enjoyed being a grandfather and will be remembered for his love of his family. Despite suffering greatly from allergies, he loved animals and owned many throughout his life.

Trevor is survived by his daughter Stacie Woolford (Jim), son Russell Welch (Crystal), and grandchildren Kyan, Blayke, Eric, and Cassandra, all of Calgary, AB.

Trevor is also survived by his brother Michael Welch (Jane), sister-in-law Linda Doornbos (Derk), all of Calgary, AB, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Sandra and Trevor’s Lives will be held at the Bow Cliff Seniors (3375 Spruce Dr SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
