Dear Vicky and family;

Gary has been my friend for longer than fifty years and during that time we travelled together in Western Canada. We often worked together and in our way we have brought order to this land. Those that will follow us will benefit from our labor and the path that we have made.

We had much in common and I will miss our conversations that we had during our travels. I will miss Gary's measured views on the world around us.

I was fortunate to have had Gary as my friend and know that his passing will be a great loss to his family and friends.
