Obituary of James Christopher Hibbert

James Hibbert, beloved son of Chris Hibbert of Victoria, BC, and Marilyn Portwood (nee Mayer), of Red Deer, AB, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the age of 40 years.
He was born in Calgary, AB, on November 18, 1984. He enjoyed all sports in his youth and especially excelled in hockey. James graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) with a degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology.
James is survived by his father Chris Hibbert, his mother Marilyn Portwood, his brother Phil Hibbert, half brothers, Luke and Jade Portwood; stepfather John Portwood, and grandfather Ed Mayer.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive) on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
