Obituary of Mariea Robenia Goodstoney
December 26, 1980 – Canmore, Alberta
November 27, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
Creator called our mom, sister, auntie, cousin and friend Mariea “Chow” Goodstoney home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the age of 43 years old. Our mom was big-hearted, caring, strong, and devoted her life to her kids, family and friends. We will always remember her beauty, her joy, strength and her laughter that filled the room with love. She was very stern in teaching her kids we’sta meaning don’t and love is the most powerful thing to have. (I LOVE YOU).
Chow leaves to mourn her children, Eliza (Kalus), Kerrisa, Aiden, and Gannica. She is also survived by her siblings, John, Amanda, Chris (Teresa), Albertine, and Leo; grandpa Horace Holloway; aunties, Maxine, Cecelia, Jeanetlin, Caroline, Lowerania, and Elrina; uncles, Glen and Perry (Leanne); as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins from Big Horn and Mînî Thnî. The family apologizes if we have missed anyone.
Chow is reunited with her son Brogan (2011), her father Albert Dixon (2001), mother Marlene (2023), sister Cornelia (1977), and grandmother Mary Margaret Goodstoney (2016)
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Lyman Poucette, 2155 Spring Road (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
Funeral Services will be held at the Mînî Thnî Gymnasium (Mînî Thnî, AB) on December 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bigstoney Cemetery (Mînî Thnî, AB). Traditional Feast to follow at the residence of Lyman Poucette, 2155 Spring Road (Mînî Thnî, AB).
