Condolences
Sandy and family, so glad we met you and Ian through a mutual friend in Medicine Hat so very many years ago. Kenny and I enjoyed every visit we had with the 2 of you over the decades when we were in the city. We really appreciated the 2 of you coming to the foothills hospital when Kenny had his accident and so very much appreciated Ian ferrying me around the city. He was always there for us and he will be greatly missed and certainly will always be remembered in our hearts.
Sandie,Craig and Chris and families. Our family and I remember with fondness the times we shared over the 8 years we lived next door. It was always so calming looking into your yard and the pond. Ian was affectionately caring for your fish or helping Sandie care for a beautiful yard and flower garden. May you all take comfort in your many memories you shared. Jim and Linda Townend
Sandie, you and I worked at the Medicentre many years ago. I remember Ian and the times we spent together during those days. I am very sorry for your loss. May you and your family find comfort and peace in the memories you share.

Ian defined what a husband, father and friend should be. He was incredibly loyal, honest, caring, always there when you needed him and a great fixer of almost anything! Who will set up my tv, cd player, video player, receiver and speakers the next time I move? Who will come right over when I demolish the garage door - from the inside - so I can get a feverish kid to the doctor? Who will try to help me stop killing my tropical fish until he had to tell that that’s what fish do, they die he sad, so I didn’t feel so guilty. Who will videotape hockey games, every year, for three different boys teams even though he wasn’t a huge hockey fan but he was the only person I knew with a video camera and knew how to use it? I know I still owe him a few favours and I promise to repay him when we meet again. He will indeed be missed.
Sandie and family, please know I am thinking of you all with sincere and heartfelt sympathy.

I will always cherish the laughter and tears we shared throughout the years. What an amazing friendship Ian and Ross shared: they spent hours building the train layout; then travelled many miles together on their motorcycles. Ian was a precious friend and called me every week to check in after Ross passed in 2007. Thank you Ian!
Sandie & family: May you feel God's presence sustaining you during this time. Our love and prayers are with you!
