Obituary of Harold Krebs
January 15, 1936 – Didsbury, Alberta
December 5, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
With heavy hearts, we announce that Harold Krebs, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the age of 88 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia; daughter, Jackie; son-in-law, Stephen; granddaughter, Taylor (Austin); grandson Deavan (Nicole); great-granddaughters, Chloe, Willow, and Isla; brother, Don; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Harold is predeceased by his daughter, Jody; and his sisters, Lois and Scotty.
Harold worked in transportation for over 50 years, but his love of farming regularly brought him back to Didsbury, AB to help on the family farm whenever possible.
He was known for his love of fastball and many summers were spent at tournaments and weekly games, where he acquired many friends throughout his lifetime. There was nothing he wouldn’t try at least once! He played a few other sports later in life, including skiing and golf. Harold golfed passionately until very recently which brought him much joy - most of the time!
Harold’s ultimate passion was country music. He was born with a great singing voice and loved playing guitar, a skill that he shared with many at jam sessions and other events, even once playing with his band on a train!
Special thanks to Patrick and Ellen, our neighbours, for all their friendship, love, and support.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes for Harold may be made directly to any charity of your choice.
Details of a memorial service for Harold will be announced at a later date.
