Condolences
I am sending my heartfelt sympathies to Erna’s family and friends.
I am sorry for the loss of your mother, your grandmother, your friend …
Erna was a neighbour here at Westbourne Senior Residences where she lived. But, most importantly, she was my friend.
She was a ray of sunshine in our building, always with a beautiful smile and offering a kind word of inspiration.
Her hair was always done, Friday mornings for years and smartly dressed; forever walking and climbing the stairs here.
We can learn a lot from her by how she lived her life, being of contribution to others.
She looked after the library books on our first floor here in our building, being the liaison between us and the Calgary library. She would make suggestions on what to read.
She read her paper daily and many books. Recently, she would ask what I thought about the USA election.
In summary, a brave, strong woman whose independent spirit was admirable.
The last time I saw Erna was on Friday, December 6, 2024. She was happily choppping baby carrots to make soup.
In closing, my sincere condolences.
