Over the years, the family lived in Calgary, and DeWinton finally settled on the DeWinton Tree Farm in 1973, for the next 33 years, which was home to her. Here, she enjoyed a large vegetable garden, many different animals, including horses, deer, elk, zebra, caribou, sheep, flamingos, turkeys, ducks, etc., and long walks with her dogs and cats.

Agnes’ greatest joy was when her family and friends dropped in on the farm for a visit, and she spoiled them with her amazing baked goods such as cinnamon buns, pies, and cookies with a cup of coffee.

Her hobbies over the years included baking, gardening, golfing, ceramics, and creating paper tole art. She also enjoyed her time with her birthday group from the DeWinton area, of which she was the last member.
