Obituary of Joan Esther Carson

Joan Esther Carson (nee Aaskow) of Crossfield, AB, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 82 years.

She graduated from the LPN program in 1961 and worked at the Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary until 1963. She then went on to work at the Extended Care Ward in Didsbury until 1966, when she started her family. She later returned in 1986 until 2008, when she retired. One of her fondest memories was helping with the chores around the farm when she was growing up.

Joan is survived by her two children, Connie (Jason Falk) Carson and Larry (Kari Luckey) Carson; her three grandchildren, Courtney (Donnie), Riley, and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren, Linkin, Copelyn, and Colter. 

She is also survived by her brothers, Donnie (Nancy) Aaskow and Brian Aaskow; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, Malthe and Nancy Aaskow, and her sister Louise Anderson.
