Obituary of Thomas Gretton Reeson

It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Tom Reeson announces his passing on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the age of 72 years.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Betty, sister Judy, brothers-in-law Bryan and Jim, sister-in-law Barb, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews.
Tom was born in Calgary, AB, at the Calgary General Hospital. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed. Tom enjoyed connecting with his many friends for a visit, no matter how long or short. He enjoyed travelling, laying on a beach, and watching the tide come in and out. He always found peace floating in a pool or on the ocean. Although gone too soon, we are forever grateful to Alcoholics Anonymous for the 30-plus years we were given with him—truly a miracle.
Tom would take the time to spend with anyone in need, whether just to talk or to change lightbulbs (for cookies). He loved to follow the progress of every NASA space launch. In life, he was our guardian angel, following our flights via flight tracker or flight simulator and we know he will continue to watch over us.
Tom was predeceased by his father Howard, mother Jean, brother Ken, and his sister Kathy.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
