Obituary of Raymond Jeffery Shaurette
March 14, 1945 – Innisfail, Alberta
December 25, 2024 – Red Deer, Alberta
Raymond Jeffery Shaurette was born in Innisfail, AB, on March 14, 1945. He lived the majority of his life in Airdrie, AB, but spent his childhood in Innisfail, AB, Caroline, AB, and Airdrie, working for many local companies but most notably Palliser (Defehr) Furniture and W&B Automotive.
Raymond had numerous loves in his life, besides family. Cross-country bus and motorbike adventures with Marilyn, his late parents Jim and Dolly, children and his cranky cat and best friend Mocha, and of course, family. Raymond had never met a baby, toddler, or kid who he couldn’t charm and make smile. He had an easy way with both children and animals, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren could tell you wonderful stories of how much fun he was.
Raymond was predeceased by his father Jeffery Shaurette, his mother and stepfather, Dolly and Jim Dunne; and his brother Richard. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Marilyn, his children, Denise (Bob), Carrie (Stuart), Lance, and Barbara (Jeff); and his thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Deanna (Mike) Watkins, and Shannon Richardson and her children.
A Celebration of Raymond's Life will be held at Airdrie Town and Country Centre (275 Jensen Dr NE #103, Airdrie, AB) on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Please join the family for fellowship and refreshments following the service.
