Obituary of Lynne Muir Frizzell
October 12, 1945 – Oakville, Ontario
January 8, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with great sadness that we announce Lynne Muir Frizzell, a longtime resident of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in her 80 years.
Lynne was born in Oakville, ON, on October 12, 1945, and was the only child of James Muir Mitchell and Doris Kathleen (Leaney) Mitchell. She moved to Calgary with her parents in 1960.
She was passionate about genealogy and researched both the Mitchell and Frizzell family trees for several generations. Her research of the Muir family tree on her father’s side began in earnest when she and her husband, Lorne, travelled to Sooke, BC, in 2010. It was here that both a cherished community of friends and a favourite getaway at Point No Point Resort were found.
Lynne loved to create and was very talented in her artistic hobbies, making her family’s home a beautiful place to live.
Lynne was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Lorne, her children, T.J. (Brenda) and Kristy; and her beloved Shetland Sheepdog, River.
There will be no service by her request.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Calgary & Area Chapter, 150, 110 Quarry Park Blvd. S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 3G3 Telephone: (403) 250-7090, www.mssociety.ca.
