Obituary of Gary Robert Evans
March 27, 1950 – Vanderhoof, British Columbia
January 8, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Robert Evans, a beloved brother (George Evans and Edythe Knowles), father (Erika Morgan and Amanda Gonzalez), grandfather (Bismarck Gonzalez Jr, Emily Ali, Deon Williams-Morgan, and Ty Morgan), great-grandfather (Gia Ali), and father-in-law (Trevor Morgan and Bismarck Gonzalez), who left us on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the age of 74 years.
His passing marks the end of a chapter filled with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished.
Gary was a man whose heart was as big as his family. As a brother, he was always there to offer support and share laughter. As a father, he dedicated his life to his girls, providing guidance, love, and endless encouragement.
His role as a grandfather and great-grandfather brought him immense joy, watching his legacy grow with each generation. As a father-in-law, he welcomed the boys with warmth and open arms, making them feel like family.
A gentle and caring soul, Gary will be remembered for his selflessness, his infectious smile, and his knack for making everyone around him feel special. His family meant the world to him, and his love for them was boundless. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that his love will live on in the lives he touched. As he would always say, “Love you more.” His daughters and grandchildren will carry that sentiment in their hearts now more than ever.
Rest in peace, Dad. Love you more.
