I competitively swam at Renfrew and Nellie was always there saying hi. She was my instructor in becoming an instructor. She was always so kind and friendly. It brings back so many fond memories of her at Renfrew with Mike Smith. They were an amazing!

My condolences offered to Nellie's family. I will always remember her big bright smile that would instantly warm a heart, along with a laugh that made her eyes sparkle which put put all in her company into a spirit of enjoying life. Nellie loved gathering her family around and was always so open to embrace any of her children's friends as part of her family. I felt privileged to have been included to enjoy some wonderful times with the Lowe family at their home in Charleswood or out in Banff. I recall seeing her at the City pools where she loved being a part of helping others enjoy her love for swimming.
