Obituary of William Dodgson HENDERSON

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Bill passed away on April 16, 2006, in his eighty-eighth year, after a long and courageous fight to stay with us. Bill was born on January 17, 1918, in Vancouver, BC and worked for the C.P.R. for forty four years in Vancouver, Kamloops, and Calgary. He retired in 1979 and then spent several happy summers working on the steam engine at Heritage Park. Bill loved to travel and see new places, or just sit and enjoy the sun. He was a skilled handyman and he designed and brought to life many things with his hands to make our world a better place. Bill could fix anything. He was a kind and considerate man, a true friend, and the absolutely best husband and father. We will miss him more than words could ever say. Bill is survived by his loving wife of sixty four years, Alice; his loving daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Henderson and Dave Hesch of Vancouver, and the much loved family pet Inga. Funeral Services will held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday April 19, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through ww.mcinnisandholloway.com.
