Obituary of Genny Paula Mavis Poucette

In loving memory of our daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.
Genny (Upsee/Chuus) was called home by our Creator (Waka) on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the age of 39 years old.
Lovingly called “Chuus” by her father Conal Labelle, and her late beloved mother Geniel Poucette. Genny (Upsee/Chuus) was raised in Mînî Thnî by her loving grandparents, Ena and late Ade, Sheila and George Labelle.
Genny (Upsee/Chuus) received her education at the Mînî Thnî Community High School. She enjoyed Stoney cultural and traditional camping, fishing, and harvesting. She loved being outdoors and nature. She cherished and loved her grandparents. Her grandma Ena will greatly miss her.
Genny is survived by her children; Alexis (Tyler), Carmelo, Sheila, baby girl, and baby Jacob; her grandson, Taylor; her father Conal, brother Caden, and grandmother, Sheila. She is also survived by her paternal aunties, Bernadette (Clifford), Na’nun Kathy (Kevin), and Lana; her maternal aunties, Lorenda, Pearl, Lorraine (Daryl), and Carrie; her maternal uncles, BR (Angela), and Levi (Nora); as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Genny was predeceased by her beloved mother Geneil, maternal grandparents, Rena and Pierce; paternal grandfather, Ade-George; paternal aunties, Darlene and Coralynn; paternal uncle, Tommy; maternal uncles, Emery, Dion, Eugene, and Curtis B; and numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.
The family apologizes if they have missed anyone.
The family requests no alcohol or drugs at the wake. Please, respect the family's request.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of her grandmother, Sheila Labelle (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, and Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held at Bearspaw Youth Centre (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Mînî Thnî, AB).
